Tuesday we discover that Moody’s made a, uh, “mistake” in their computer software that erroneously rated certain synthetic debt obligations (CPDOs), causing “AAA” ratings to be applied when they should have been four notches lower.
This apparently was discovered internally at Moody’s in early 2007, but do you remember any public announcement of this error, any mass-rerating of these securities, or any, uh, compensation to those who were screwed?
I don’t seem to recall that disclosure, do you?
Gee, you don’t think that perhaps investors, the public, and oh my gosh, the buyers who overpaid for these CPDOs had a right to know that there had been an error made, do you?
I mean its one thing to make a mistake, but its quite another to cover it up!

You gotta love how when they couldn’t get POG down they came in and hit the stocks…that’s my theory and I am sticking to it…. who sells PM stocks when the POG and SILVER is on a run?

Kinda hard not to take notice on what he had to say. I remember the first conversation I had with him on the other board…I think I might have been the first to respond to him….What did I get?? the center channel here has been predicted for months using parameters that seem to work(per the text on the chart). I mentioned earlier today 460 might be the high and 931 gold, funny a prediction comes true and everyone forgets and blames the poor price action on anything but <G>
Anyways look at the divergence between highs and lows per sector since Nov and the 284 recent bottom, one making higher lows and one making lower highs etc….
fwiw The chart I posted months ago showed a clear divergence in sm/pm and notwithstanding minute or day moves the trend has been solid since November re divergence jmo
Otherwise yes this really sucks, and I am beside myself with frustration

Thinking about all the oil that China imports, these rising prices must be an extra huge incentive for them to let the Renimbi float more freely against the dollar and get their costs under control.
