“If aurum bought today; we’re going lower. :-)”
I have done no buying in several months. I have done a little selling: soybeans, corn, FCX, and GLD. I seldom look at the market and have been spending much less time on the computer. I’m not clear yet whether I am wrong on the big picture, but it is clear my timing was way off and I would have been better to wait. We have the Armstrong date of March 21 coming up and others have mentioned that time frame and the full moon. It would not surprise me to see another panic down day in the general stock market around that date. The only individual stocks I have are BHP, PBR, and ICE (having bought at lows although perhaps not THE lows). The rest are indexes and go where the general markets go. As you have said a bounce is likely soon - it will be important to see what form that move takes when it comes. I am happy in the index positions and am patient and hopefully will have no need for the money.
I am still trading FDG in my taxable account although I have been holding my position now for some months - but have started a few months ago with AAV, PWE, and PVX also. These seem to do okay on the down days and pay nice dividends at a 10% tax rate.
Best wishes to all.
